Return path

Return path: The MX and TXT on your domain that receive bounces and keep the envelope aligned.

A new sending domain publishes two records on a subdomain, send. unless you pass another label. The MX receives bounces. The TXT is the SPF record that keeps SPF alignment.

Both are required before the envelope moves to a VERP address on that host. Until they resolve, the envelope sender stays the From address. Neither record is a shared hostname of ours.
