Fix field

Fix field: The sentence on every refusal that says what to do next and which call does it.

Every refusal body carries code, message, fix and docs_url. fix is the instruction: which call to make, or who has to decide. Quote it. Do not paraphrase it into a different action.

When the refusal is retryable it also carries retry_after_seconds. When it is not, that field is absent, and the fix is the whole answer. The catalogue is /docs/errors.
