AgentiSend vs MailerSend

Is AgentiSend a MailerSend alternative? Yes, for transactional email sent through an API. A Free plan that does not expire: 5,000 emails a month, 170 a day, 3 domains, no card. Then plans from $9 a month (Starter, 30,000 emails). No daily cap on paid plans; delivery paced per inbox provider. Or 40% off paid yearly. It is not a replacement for SMS, or for a data center in the European Union.

Pick MailerSend when you want SMS on Starter and Professional, inbound routing on the free plan, or an EU data center with ISO 27001; pick AgentiSend when you want a free plan that does not expire, the Pro price at 50,000 emails against MailerSend Starter at $35, and a send budget on every key. The figures below are from MailerSend pages fetched on 31 October 2026 and from this product's pricing table and published API.

Trying it before payingA Free plan that does not expire: 5,000 emails a month, 170 a day, 3 domains, no card. Then plans from $9 a month (Starter, 30,000 emails). No daily cap on paid plans; delivery paced per inbox provider. Or 40% off paid yearly.Free is 500 emails a month. The FAQ says a card is required and that the plan is not charged. The comparison table lists 100 daily API requests and 1 day of email activity on Free. The same page says a two-week evaluation of Professional features includes 500 emails a month, then moves the account to Free with no automatic charge. Hobby is $7 a month for 5,000 emails, or $5.60 a month billed yearly.
Price at 50,000 emails a month$16 a month on Pro, which is $0.32 per 1,000. Sending pauses at the inclusion unless an owner turns overage on, up to a ceiling they set.The pricing page's price array lists a 50,000-email step at $35 a month on Starter and $110 on Professional. Extra email on that step is $1.30 per 1,000. The same array has a step labelled 5K whose emails field is also 50,000, so this row does not state a separate 5,000-email Starter price. There is no 10,000-email step.
Price at 100,000 emails a month$16 a month on Pro, which is $0.32 per 1,000. Sending pauses at the inclusion unless an owner turns overage on, up to a ceiling they set.The 100,000-email step is $68 a month on Starter and $140 on Professional, then $1.30 per 1,000. The FAQ says an $68 subscription includes 100,000 emails on the Starter plan, then $1.30 per 1,000 above that.
A spending limit per keyEvery key is created with a send budget. The send path refuses with agent_budget_exceeded when it is spent, and a key cannot raise its own. The plan inclusion is a second ceiling (plan_limit_reached).Tokens are created with scopes such as email_full, and a token can be paused. The token reference does not list a count of emails the token may send. The general errors page says MS42204 means the account reached the emails in its plan, or a sending limit it set for itself, and says to raise that limit under Plan and billing.
A retry never sends twiceIdempotency-Key is accepted on every endpoint that changes something and remembered for 7 days. The send reference lists the JSON fields for sending, including from, to, subject, text and html. An idempotency key is not among them.
What a refusal tells youEvery refused request carries code, message, fix (the call that repairs it), docs_url and retryable. The general errors table gives each failure a code and a message, such as MS42204. A field named fix that names the next call is not on that page.
How long the log keeps a message7 days on Free, 30 on Starter, 90 on Pro, 180 on Scale. It is part of the plan and there is no add-on to buy.Email activity retention on the pricing table is 30 days on Professional, 7 days on Starter, and 1 day on Hobby and Free. API log retention is 7 days on Professional and blank on the other three columns.
SMSThe published API sends email. It has no SMS or WhatsApp operation. The pricing table marks SMS on Professional and Starter, and not on Hobby or Free. The 50,000-email step includes 150 SMS a month on Professional and 100 on Starter. WhatsApp is an add-on on Hobby, Starter and Professional, and not on Free.
What the model can callA hosted MCP server with 92 MCP tools (46 listed by default, the rest named by list_more_tools). An agent gets the same budget and kill switch over MCP as over the API.A hosted server at https://mcp.mailersend.com/mcp lists tools that include send_email, send_bulk_email and send_sms. The pricing table marks an MCP server on Professional, Starter, Hobby and Free. The page does not give a tool count, and it does not say a send budget applies to the key the server uses.
Audited security reports, and where the data sitsNone yet. No SOC 2 report and no penetration-test letter exist, and /security says so. Not offered. Customer data is processed in the United States. The security statement says the data storage center is in the European Union and holds ISO 27001. It also says MailerSend, Inc. complies with the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Frameworks, including the UK Extension. A SOC 2 report is not named on that page or the pricing page.
Receiving mailReceiving is a switch on each verified domain: publish one MX record and mail to that domain is stored on your account, with extracted_text beside the raw body, a clear or review label on every message, an optional hold until a person releases it, and allow and block rules per domain. There is no inbox object; the domain is the address. The pricing table marks inbound routing on Professional, Starter, Hobby and Free. The inbound route reference accepts a webhook URL and logs received mail on an Inbound activity page.
Submitting by SMTPThe published API sends with POST /emails. The API reference does not document an SMTP submission hostname. The free-plan list on the pricing page includes an email API and an SMTP relay.
A dedicated addressDedicated IP on request. Once one is assigned, the published ramp is 20% of volume to day 7, 40% to day 14, 60% to day 21, 80% to day 28, then all of it, on GET /dedicated-ips/ramp.The pricing table marks a dedicated IP on Professional and not on Starter, Hobby or Free. The add-ons section says dedicated IPs are for Enterprise accounts that send over 100,000 emails a week, and says to contact support. A price is not on the page.
