AgentiSend vs SMTP2GO

Is AgentiSend an SMTP2GO alternative? Yes, for transactional email sent through an API. A Free plan that does not expire: 5,000 emails a month, 170 a day, 3 domains, no card. Then plans from $9 a month (Starter, 30,000 emails). No daily cap on paid plans; delivery paced per inbox provider. Or 40% off paid yearly. It is not a replacement for an SMTP relay, or for SMS on a paid plan.

Pick SMTP2GO when you want an SMTP relay, SMS on a paid plan, or a dedicated IP included at 100,000 emails; pick AgentiSend when you want a free plan that does not expire, the Starter price against their $15 step at 10,000 emails, and a send budget on every key. The figures below are from SMTP2GO pages fetched on 31 October 2026 and from this product's pricing table and published API.

Trying it before payingA Free plan that does not expire: 5,000 emails a month, 170 a day, 3 domains, no card. Then plans from $9 a month (Starter, 30,000 emails). No daily cap on paid plans; delivery paced per inbox provider. Or 40% off paid yearly. The pricing page says the free plan is up to 1,000 emails a month and that sign-up does not require a card. The free-plan article says 1,000 emails a month and 200 a day, with no time limit. Past the monthly limit, further attempts are rejected. Reporting on the free plan covers 5 days. An unverified sender domain adds a limit of 25 emails an hour.
Price at 10,000 emails a month$9 a month on Starter, which covers 30,000 emails, so $0.30 per 1,000 at the inclusion. The pricing page's plan list prices 10,000 emails at $15 a month or $150 a year, with no private IP, and extra email at $0.0012 each ($1.20 per 1,000). A 5,000-email step on the same list is $5 a month.
Price at 50,000 emails a month$16 a month on Pro, which is $0.32 per 1,000. Sending pauses at the inclusion unless an owner turns overage on, up to a ceiling they set.The plan list prices 50,000 emails at $30 a month or $300 a year, with no private IP, and extra email at $0.001 each ($1 per 1,000). The visible slider labels a 40,000 step and does not label 50,000; this row uses the plan list.
Price at 100,000 emails a month$16 a month on Pro, which is $0.32 per 1,000. Sending pauses at the inclusion unless an owner turns overage on, up to a ceiling they set.The plan list prices 100,000 emails at $75 a month or $750 a year, marks a private IP on that step, and prices extra email at $0.00085 each ($0.85 per 1,000).
A spending limit per keyEvery key is created with a send budget. The send path refuses with agent_budget_exceeded when it is spent, and a key cannot raise its own. The plan inclusion is a second ceiling (plan_limit_reached).The getting-started page says each API key can set a rate limit, which defaults to unlimited, and permissions for particular endpoints. The API keys article says a paid account has no limit on how many keys it can add. Neither page lists a count of emails the key may send.
A retry never sends twiceIdempotency-Key is accepted on every endpoint that changes something and remembered for 7 days. The send guide lists 13 parameters for /email/send, including sender, to, subject, html_body and text_body. An idempotency key is not among them.
What a refusal tells youEvery refused request carries code, message, fix (the call that repairs it), docs_url and retryable. The getting-started page says a missing, invalid or disabled API key returns 401 Unauthorized. The send guide says a failed request returns 400 with error_code and error. A field named fix that names the next call is not on either page.
How long the log keeps a message7 days on Free, 30 on Starter, 90 on Pro, 180 on Scale. It is part of the plan and there is no add-on to buy.The free-plan article says free accounts see 5 days of Activity reporting and paying customers see 30 days, with an option to extend from 60 days to 2 years. The vendor page says email data is deleted once it reaches 35 days by default, and that paid plans can extend Activity storage to 60 days, 120 days, 1 year or 2 years.
SMSThe published API sends email. It has no SMS operation. The free-plan article says SMS messaging is not on the free plan. The paid pricing cards list SMS messaging.
What the model can callA hosted MCP server with 92 MCP tools (46 listed by default, the rest named by list_more_tools). An agent gets the same budget and kill switch over MCP as over the API.A hosted server at https://developers.smtp2go.com/mcp lists list-endpoints, get-endpoint, search-endpoints, execute-request and get-server-variables. execute-request can send email when the key has permission. The page does not say a send budget applies to that key.
Audited security reports, and where the data sitsNone yet. No SOC 2 report and no penetration-test letter exist, and /security says so. Not offered. Customer data is processed in the United States. The vendor page says account data sits in a data center chosen by account location: USA (Chicago and Washington DC) with ISO 27001, SOC 1 Type 2, SOC 2 Type 2 and PCI DSS; EU (Amsterdam) with ISAE 3402, SOC 1 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 2; Australia (Sydney) with ISO/IEC 27001:2013.
Submitting by SMTPThe published API sends with POST /emails. The API reference does not document an SMTP submission hostname. The SMTP relay page says to set mail.smtp2go.com as the outgoing server, with SMTP users from Sending > SMTP Users. TLS is offered on ports 25, 2525, 8025, 587 and 80, and SSL on 465, 8465 and 443. Location-specific names include mail-us.smtp2go.com, mail-eu.smtp2go.com and mail-au.smtp2go.com.
A dedicated addressDedicated IP on request. Once one is assigned, the published ramp is 20% of volume to day 7, 40% to day 14, 60% to day 21, 80% to day 28, then all of it, on GET /dedicated-ips/ramp.The pricing page's plan list marks a private IP on the 100,000-email step ($75 a month) and on the higher steps, and not on 10,000 ($15) or 50,000 ($30).
